Carry on Bridge

An animated short film based on the life of Vauxhall Bridge in Great Yarmouth. Local children from the BOOM! project organised by MAP in Great Yarmouth worked with animator Matthew Harrison to make the film. The animation was produced in association with Great Yarmouth Library and Vauxhall Links. The project participants also worked towards a Bronze Arts Award qualification with project co-ordinators Caroline Fernandez and Lauren Randall and learnt about the history of their town as well as the filmmaking process. It forms part of Vauxhall Links’ All Our Stories HLF project 2013 which also featured mural painting, model making, memory sharing, bar code tram trail and a photography competition and exhibition.

  1. What a brilliant film! Well done the children from BOOM! plus MAP and Matthew Harrison. I feel properly inspired for helping out when we have Signals Media Arts Centre running free film making workshops in The Forum: Southend-on-Sea during the summer (http://www.southend.gov.uk/libraries/imaginationeast). Can’t wait 🙂
